Tell us about Cabinetmakers Choice?
Cabinetmakers Choice is a DIY cabinets and trade wholesaler to Geelong and surrounding areas. Its expertise lies in custom made luxurious and glamourous wardrobes, as well as wardrobes you can install yourself.
Owners Nigel Robinson and Chris Adamko have more than 40 years of experience in the cabinetry and DIY trade between them.
The business is renowned for its high quality service, customer focus and expert advice.
The business also supplies to cabinetmakers and other people in the trade including the DIY handyman, anyone is welcome to come into the shop.
The business’ shop and showroom are located in Grovedale. The glamourous wardrobe showroom features Cabinetmakers Choice’s rotating shoe rack, made famous in Andy and Ben’s apartment in the 2016 season of The Block. The showroom is interactive and visitors are encouraged to come in for a play with the shoe rack, garment lever, pull out ironing board and a custom made Hollywood style glamour powder puff vanity.
When did the business start?
Cabinetmakers Choice started in 2012. Nigel and Chris saw an opening in the market for fulfilling customers’ needs in wardrobes, especially the higher end style with all the trimmings. The wardrobe can be a focal point in the home, it is important it looks good, feels good and is functional.
During its six years of trading the business has become a well-regarded supplier to the cabinet making industry around regional Victoria, stretching to the South Australian border. Cabinetmakers Choice has been a part of renovation television series The Block for the past two years, with many of its designs a feature in high scoring rooms.
What is your most popular item?
Cabinetmakers Choice is a stockist of environmentally friendly LETO bamboo. The material is environmentally sourced,machines cleanly, sands beautifully to a silky finish giving rise to many cabinetry applications including wardrobes, shelving,bedroom furniture, tall boys and bathroom vanities, even kitchen cabinetry. Premium, cross laminated bamboo ply and veneer is on display in the showroom.
Shaker style doors are also popular after they featured in Ronnie and Georgia’s kids’ bedroom and guest room on The Block.
What can people expect when they come into Cabinetmakers Choice?
People can expect high quality in all aspects, including advice, products and service. Visitors can take a guided tour of the showroom; it’s preferable to make an appointment before hand so time can be dedicated to creating your perfect wardrobe.
Every prospective wardrobe client receives a detailed line drawing to see what they are getting and a fully itemised quote.
Trade and DIY clients can come in for a chat to receive the right advice for their specific project. Cabinetmakers Choice only deal with the best suppliers. There is a large variety of products, materials and colours on offer for all kinds of projects including laundries, kitchens, cubby houses, horse floats, letter boxes and caravans.
